And oh how good it felt to be young and loved and feel it in our bonesHi. My name is JUNE. I’m a 27 year old web developer living in the suburbs of Washington, DC. I keep a blog about beginning again every day and another blog about embracing creativity.
There is no true, sure-fired way to describe to you what I am like, but for the purposes of our connection today, let’s just leave it at this: I am a creative person who tries to pump awesomeness into her everyday life. I struggle with depression and anxiety but I try not to let it get me down; I think because of this, sometimes I’m skeptical, cynical, and quite sarcastic. I’m not super bubbly and love darker shades of brighter colors. That said, I can see the positives in ANYthing, even sometimes my own life. ;)
I graduated from college in 2006 with a B.A. in English, concentration Mythology and Folklore in Literature. I minored in Psychology and almost double-minored in the German language (I was missing three classes— in retrospect it was silly to not have pursued that!). I worked in bookselling basically forever and then took up a job as web developer based on a long-standing hobby, and this is what I do now! :)
In my free time I create, create, CREATE, but I also do freelance web design, yoga/meditation, and hang out with my 2.5 year old nephew, Benjamin. I happily define myself by my creativity and willingly immerse myself into several kinds of projects: mixed media, primarily, but I also write fiction and embark on photographic journeys.
